At the weekend we held a memorial course for Dave Ross, who sadly passed away earlier this year. As well as the sadness there were lots of smiles, laughter, sweat and the odd sore muscle the day after. We can think of no better way to remember our friend.
Huge thanks to everyone who came out to support the event! There were many current Azami-kai students as well as a healthy crop of our old friends. Many of them coming back on the mat for the first time in over a decade! It was fantastic to see everyone again and raise a bit of energy for a good cause.
Over the course of the weekend we have raised well over £500 with donations still coming in. The money will go to the St. Columba’s Hospice who helped look after Dave. Thank you to Azami-kai alumni from across the world who supported us and to our Aikido big brothers and sisters in the UKA for their generous help.
